When you exit customs, turn right and walk about 3-5 minutes to get to the train station, located at the end of the airport. Purchase tickets from the machines on the right for Flytoget or the machines on the left for the local train. You will need a credit card with a chip and pin.
If you need to get Norwegian Krones, there are machines located just outside the Customs door. The sign had set exchange rates which did not look favorable. When I checked my statement though, I got $1 = NOK 8.12 when the official exchange rate was NOK 8.2, which isn't too bad. The nice thing about Norway is that you really don't need cash. I didn't come across any situation where I needed cash. Buses, taxis, shops and restaurants all accept credit cards.
The Departures board lists the times of the trains.
The Flytoget trains leave from Track 3.
The local trains leave from Track 4. All trains on Track 4 go to Oslo S but you can always confirm with a passenger. The other nice thing about Norway is that most Norwegians speak perfect English.
Inside the train, there is a monitor with the upcoming stops. So easy to understand.
