Kir Royal--$7. It needed better champagne. They also have house white, red and rose for $5 and Lagunitas "Little Sumping" for $3.
Frite Panisse--$4. This is fried chickpea flour cake from the south of France. Smooth and creamy like polenta and fried crisp. I thought they were delicious with the aioli dip but my husband thought they were too bland.
Monterey Bay Anchovies--Crispy Fried with Caper Herb Remoulade--$5. We both liked the anchovies although they were bony. They reminded us of our trip to Dubrovnik, where fried little fish were everywhere. The fish in Dubrovnik had smaller bones though.
Soup & Sandwich--Shot of Soup du Jour (in this case, pistou) with Gruyere Grilled Cheese--$5. I didn't like the pistou but then again I'm not a big bean fan.
