Fjord Safari

Because we had missed a good part of the Norway in a Nutshell tour when there was a power outage on the rail, we tried to make up for it on our last day on the Sognefjord. We took the Express Ferry from Balestrand at 11:50 am and arrived in Flam at 1:50 pm--NOK199.

In order to see the Naeroyfjord and still catch the last Flam to Myrdal train, we had to do the Fjord Safari on a speedboat--NOK650. Google "Gudvangen" and you'll see why we went through all this trouble.

The trip left at 3:15 pm and returned to Flam at 5:30 pm. 

We had to wear foul-weather gear. Unfortunately, mine leaked so I got soaked.

The tour takes you from Flam, up the Naeroyfjord to Gudvangen.

Weather was not ideal but we did have some scenic moments.
