Flam

Back in Flam, we had an hour before our train left. Flam is not much more than a transportation hub with hotels, restaurants, adorable gift shops and a free railway museum.

Fretheim Hotel, built in the 19th century, is located in the town of Flam.

Flamsbrygga is another hotel in town and it has an attached restaurant--Aegir Brewpub.

We didn't have much time and asked what we needed to order to get out in time to catch our train. There was only 1 choice--Fish & Shellfish Soup for NOK230. Sticker shock at nearly $30 for this dish but it was tasty and filled with fish and mussels.
