Porto

Arriving in Porto, we looked for a boat tour to take us out along Les Calanques de Piana, sculpted cliffs above the Golfo de Porto and part of a Unesco World Heritage Site.

We found Nave Va, which had 1 1/2 hour tours departing at 11 am, 1 pm and 5:30 pm. Adult fare was €25, child fare €15.

The boats are large and there's little chance of getting seasick.

There are isolated beaches along the way. If you have your own boat, you can stop. Otherwise, you'll view it from a distance.

The boats are just small enough to fit through small openings in the cliffs.
