Turkey & the Wolf

Turkey & the Wolf was named America's Best New Restaurant by Bon Appetit in 2017. It was a James Beard semifinalist for Best Restaurant in 2017 & for Best Chef South in 2019. With these accolades, we had to check it out.

We tried the Collard Green Melt--$10.50. Slow-cooked collards, swiss cheese, pickled cherry pepper dressing, coleslaw on rye bread. This was fabulous and the best thing we ate on this trip!. The bread was well toasted, the coleslaw was delicious and the collard green had just the right spiciness. I'll need to come back again! Maybe, I'll try the bologna sandwich next time.
