Karaage (fried boneless chicken)--3 pieces for $4.30. So delicious--crispy on the outside and so juicy and flavorful inside.
We tried a new appetizer. Hotate (garlic butter scallops)--$9. There were maybe 8-9 scallops. I thought these were okay. The scallops were a little rubbery.
The star of the show--Tonkatsu Ramen. The pork-based ramen is served with soft boiled seasoned egg, pork, green onion, bamboo shoots, mushrooms (actually it's wood ear), sesame, nori seaweed. It's $10.50 for a bowl of small and $13 for a large bowl. There used to be only 1 size (larger than the small bowl) for $9. The broth was especially delicious today. Sometimes, it can be too salty or too porky. The noodles were perfectly chewy.
