Sass Pordoi

Checkout wasn't until noon so we decided to do a quick hike before checking out. There was a gondola--Sass Pordoi--just across the street from our hotel.

It was costly to ride the gondola--€17/person for a 5-minute ride.

There is a mini museum inside the gondola station. There is a dedication to Maria Piaz, the woman who brought tourism to the area. She died in 1971 at the age of 94.
