Troy Greek Cuisine

From the Claremont, it was a 1/2 mile walk to College Avenue. There were so many ethnic restaurants and it was difficult to choose. Troy ranked highest on Yelp so we decided to give it a try.

 

Troy is located at 2985 College Ave.

 

 

Gyros Platter--$9.95. Lamb & beef gyros with tzatziki, grilled vegetables and Horiatiki Salad. The pita was soft yet hearty. The gyros was flavorful but grilled a little too long so it was slightly dry. The tzatziki was thick and garlicky. Next time, I'll try the gyros wrap to see if the meat is less dry. 

 

 

Moussaka--$11.95. Grilled eggplant and parmesan layered with lamb and beef in tomato sauce and topped with Béchamel sauce. The eggplant was tender and the lamb and beef in tomato sauce was delicious. The rice was great. This was better than my gyros platter.
