Takoyaki is sold everywhere in Japan. It's a popular snack in local parks and tourist attractions. They are dough balls filled with diced octopus and topped with a sauce and shaved bonita. I've never been a fan of these in the United States but wanted to try them in Japan. Yup, same thing. It's too nondescript and the dough is mushy. At least they're not expensive. These were Y 300 for 9 or Y 500 for 15.
