Capesante--Pan Roasted Day Boat Scallops Served in Rhubarb Vin Santo Sauce, Basil-Peach Relish & Crispy Potatoes, paired with 2011 RouteStock Cellars Chardonnay, "Route 121," Carneros. This was the first time we had this dish. The scallops were perfectly prepared but I thought the rhubarb vin santo was a little sweet.
Risotto D'Anatra--Arborio Rice Cooked with Duck Confit, Belgian Endive & Summer Mushroom Pesto, paired with 2012 La Merika Vineyards Pinot Noir, Central Coast. I liked the duck confit but there was a sweetness to the dish. Not sure where it came from.
Brasato Di Maiale--Slow Cooked Braised Pork Topped with Crispy Sage Gremolata, Grilled Figs & Arugula Served in Sweet Onion Sugo Di Vino Rosso, paired with 2012 Novy Family Wines Four Mile Creek Syrah-Grenache-Zinfandel Blend, North Coast. Delicious as always. I like the braised pork the best of all the entrees served at Thursday night dinner. It is fork-tender.
