The High Line is a 1.5 mile long park built on an elevated section of a disused NY railroad running from the Meatpacking District to the Lower West Side. It was inspired by the Promenade Plantee, a similar project in Paris, which was completed in 1993.
It opened in phases, with the first phase opening in 2009. The final phase will open in 2015.
Wooden walkways surrounded by greens and benches.
Artwork dot the park.
