We had planned a week in Paris and ended up with 4 1/2 days. Although not nearly long enough, it was a fabulous vacation. We loved our apartment in the 3rd arrondissement and were so glad we rented an apartment. It was nice to be able to pick up picnic items and have somewhere to eat it.
It was the first week in February. Even though it was bitterly cold, the sun shone every day and we had a great time wandering the streets. It was fun to find hidden treasures, such as the charcuterie that won the gold medal for their head cheese.
We had some great meals and tasted a lot of different cheeses. I loved my macaron samplings and still miss the baguettes and croissants.
I'd like to go back in late September or October next time and stay for at least 6 weeks. I'm hoping the crowds won't be there but the weather might be better.
