Thursday Night Dinner

Here's this week's Thursday Night Dinner at Flavor Bistro in Santa Rosa. All this for $24.95 and that includes wine pairing.


Cicoria E Pera--Grilled Endive, Pan Seared Black Pepper Pear, Prosciutto Di Parma & Gorgonzola Cream, paired with 2013 Dutton-Goldfield Chardonnay, Dutton Ranch, Russian River Valley. This was a first. It was beautifully presented and the gorgonzola cream was light. I don't like oaked chardonnay and this did not appeal to me.



Risotto D'Anatra E Funghi--Carnaroli Rice Cooked with Duck Confit &  Roasted Organic Alba Mushrooms Garnished with Barolo Reduction, paired with 2013 Tenuta Sant'Antonio Scaia Corvina I.G.T., Veneto, Italy. The risotto was delicious with the shredded duck.


Agnello Alla Griglia--Grilled Marinated Local Lamb Loin Chop  Served in Cannellini Bean RagoĆ»t Flavored with Homemade Sausage, Autumn Tomatoes & Sweet Basil, paired with 2012 St. Francis Winery & Vineyards "Old Vines" Zinfandel, Sonoma


Crostada Di Mela Cotogna--Organic Caramelized Quince & Currant Galette Garnished with Chantilly Cream, paired with 2011 Bonterra Vineyards Late Harvest Muscat, Bartolucci Vineyard (Organic), Lake County
