Thursday Night Dinner

We interrupt our Sacramento trip to bring you the latest Thursday Night Dinner at Flavor Bistro.


Guazzetto--Day Boat Scallops, Jumbo Prawns, Mussels, Clams & Calamari served in Brodetto Di Vino Bianco flavored with Organic Tomatoes & Sweet Basil, paired with 2012 King Estate Winery Pinot Gris, Oregon. My favorite first course. I just love the flavor of the sauce. Just a touch of tomatoes. The Pinot Gris worked well with the seafood.


Risotto Ruspante--Aborio Rice Cooked with Homemade Country Style Chicken Sausage, Sweet Leeks, Organic Escarole & Parmigiano-Reggiano, paired with 2011 RouteStock Cellars Pinot Noir, "Route 99W," Willamette Valley, Oregon


Bistecca Alla Griglia--Grilled Garlic Herb Marinated Flat Iron Steak Garnished with Braised Organic Chicories, Onion Confit & Roasted Fingerling Potatoes Served in Zinfandel Wine Sauce, paired with 2012 Easton Zinfandel, Amador County. The Zin wine reduction was rich and flavorful. So delicious with the rare beef.


Tiramisu E Tartufi Di Cioccolato--Espresso Lady Fingers Layered with Rum Flavored Mascarpone Cream Garnished with Homemade Chocolate Truffles, paired with 2012 Ceretto Moscato d'Asti DOCG, Vignaioli di Santo Stefano, Italy
