Because we had arrived on Sunday, we decided to check out Europe's largest flea market, El Rastro. We started at Plaza Mayor and followed the stalls south. At Bar Santurce, located at Plaza General Vara del Rey 14, we found a huge crowd. We were curious what they were eating and wedged our way into the bar. Everyone was eating grilled sardines and we ordered a media for €2--5 sardines, head and bones included. They were a little fishy for my taste.
