The Maui Tropical Plantation is a 60 acre preserve located on a former sugarcane field. It offers a 40-minute tram ride ($16) that covers the sugarcane growing process and the different plant types on the plantation.
It's located at 1670 Honoapilani Hwy.
The grounds are beautiful and free to enjoy.
The plantation also has an art gallery, a restaurant and a store specializing in "Made in Maui" products.
