Wine & Food Affair, Day 2

Day 2 started at Hanna Winery & Vineyards.

Sonoma Shawarma with Tahini Yogurt Sauce and Syrian Pita. This had good taste but was heavy on the tahini. This was paired with Two Ranch Red but actually tasted better with their Elias Russian River Valley Pinot Noir.

Balletto Vineyards served Chef Roger's (from La Gare) Crab Cakes & Mushroom Soup. They paired it with Teresa's Unoaked Chardonnay.

Fog Crest Vineyard served Crepine de Porc (Louisiana Style). The Crepine was a pork sausage. Fog Crest Vineyard is a beautiful winery with a view over the vineyards.

DeLoach Vineyards served Atelier Gougeres with Black Forest Ham and Havarti Cheese from Atelier Fine Foods. It was paired with OFS Pinot Noir.

DeLoach had a huge warehouse sale. They sold some of their wines for $5.

DeLoach had a 2nd pairing. Harvest Cupcakes paired with La Captive Hard Apple Cider--retailing for $20.

Next to DeLoach was Sunce--which means "sun" in Croatian. They served Crab Bisque. They also had a game to guess the varietal.

Harvest Moon Estate served Asian Turkey Meatballs. Rainy Day Chocolates was also at Harvest Moon. Unfortunately, their toffee ($8 for 1/4 lb) was too chewy.

Next stop was Lauterbach, which served Lamb Polpette with Yogurt-Mint Sauce.

We ended our day at the wineries on Coffey Lane. First up was Super Sonoman.

Super Sonoman paired Coffee-Rubbed Tri-Tip with Pinot.

We also stopped at Carol Shelton but they only had one serving of Zinfandel-Braised Beef Brisket Sliders. The beef was incredibly tender.

Donelan Family Wines ran out of Crispy  Chicken Sliders with Rosemary Biscuits and Tomato-Bacon Jam.

Our final stop was Inspiration, where there were several other wineries. No food pairing though.
