Vernazza Wine Experience at Villa Alessandro

On our first day in Vernazza, we had Happy Hour at the Vernazza Wine Experience.

They had a beautiful terrace overlooking the water.

Olives and crackers were included with the wine tasting.

We ordered the Anchovy appetizer in addition--€10. If you don't like anchovies, you haven't had marinated anchovies in Europe. They are so good.

Their silver wine tasting was €15 for 3 tastings. Choose your wines from a list. Because there were 2 of us, we tried 5 different wines. We only doubled up on one choice. Our first wine was La Farra Prosecco Valdobbiadene Brut 2015 from Veneto.

Another choice was Luigi Maffini Pietraincatenata from Campania--this was a dry white.

The Capellini Cinque Terre 2015 was another dry white.

Our other options included Sarotto Chardonnay Puro from Piemonte--full white and Sarotto Elena la Luna from Piemonte--a full body red.

We had a beautiful view of the moon rising.
