Jack Rabbit Trading Post

The next stop was the Jack Rabbit Trading Post, 15 miles east of Winslow, Arizona. It opened in 1949 and signs for the Jack Rabbit were posted as far as 1000 miles away, with mileage countdown. It's like the signs for Wall Drug in South Dakota. By the time you arrive, you have to stop to check it out.

Here It Is--the Jack Rabbit Trading Post. Note the tiny jack rabbits on top of the sign.

You're greeted with a Jack Rabbit with a saddle

and a yellow VW Rabbit.

Try to find all the hidden "Still Hoppin" rocks.

I love the old rusted cars all along Route 66.

Welcome to the Trading Post.

Unlike Wall Drug, which is a whopping 76,000 sf, the Jack Rabbit is a small store. I did find adorable Christmas ornaments.

Jack rabbits even adorn the roof line.
