Le Pim 'Pi, Biarritz

After St. Jean de Luz, we drove to Biarritz. We checked into our hotel and asked Reception to make reservations for us at Le Pim 'Pi. We were fortunate to snag the last table for the evening. It was a fabulous meal so we were glad we got to eat there.

Le Pim 'Pi, located at 14, Avenue Verdun in Biarritz. Call ahead to make reservations.

Pate €12.60--smooth and creamy and great on toasted baguette.

Moules Plancha Sauce Pim 'Pi--9.20. This was delicious. The mussels were roasted and a nice alternative to the traditional way of cooking them in wine.
We didn't see any greens on the menu and asked for a salad. We got this wonderful mixed greens tossed with a little olive oil and vinegar for €2.90--delicious.
Escalope de Veau Crema Champignon--€16.80. This had a nice mushroom sauce but the veal wasn't fork-tender.

Duck Confit €15.10. One of us always ordered duck confit when it's on the menu. This was tender on the inside and crisp on the outside--just perfect. The potatoes on the side were creamy.

Brochette de Gamba et Lotta (monkfish)--€21.20. The monkfish was amazing.
Dessert of figs and cinnamon ice cream €5.90--absolutely amazing.
