Mo Mo's Meat, Sacramnto

When my sister suggested that we go to Sacramento for a foodie tour, I was wary. How could Sacramento have a better food scene than what we have in the Bay Area?

We started at Mo Mo's Meat Market, located at 5776 Broadway. We got there at 11:15 am. There was no line but the meats hadn't come off the grill yet. After 30 minutes, we got our order.

We ordered a 2 way BBQ Plate for $12.99. We got 3 ribs and chicken. It came with 2 sides and we chose collard greens and mac & cheese. The chicken thighs were tender, juicy and delicious. The ribs were not fall-off-the bone so we were disappointed. The BBQ sauce was delicious though! Wish they sold the sauce. The collard greens were okay but I didn't care for the mac & cheese. I like my mac & cheese creamy and this had too much melted cheese mixed with macaroni instead of a creamy sauce.

We also got a 4 way BBQ Plate for $14.99. It came with 2 ribs, chicken, hot links and tri-tip. The sides on this one were collard greens and potato salad. The hot links were hot and delicious. The tri-tip was just okay though. It was not as tender as I would've liked. The potato salad was good and creamy.

We tried a tri-tip sandwich for $6.99. The sandwich was good because we doused it with BBQ sauce.

We also had a slice of cornbread for $1.25. It was meh.
