Solarfest

Solarfest was an eclipse festival at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

Admission was $15 to the festival.

There was a map where you could put a pin on your hometown. There were a lot of foreign visitors.

NASA set up exhibits in one of the fairground buildings. It was a small room so there was a 30-60 minute wait to get in.

Inside, there was a lot of information on the eclipse. It alerted me as to what to watch for during the main event.

The shaved ice truck was one of the most popular at the event. $3 for a small so it wasn't too expensive but the juice topping was weak--not much flavor to them.
