Auberge du Goujon Qui Fretille, Buzet sur Baise

A short walk from the mooring is Auberge du Goujon Qui Fretille, an upscale restaurant with great food. No need to dress up though.

We had a bottle of Buzet wine--€31. Chateau de Gueyze is perhaps the best known. Buzet wines are 100% cabernet sauvignon.

€27 for 3-courses. One of the options for the first course was Salade de Burrata et Truite Fumee. The burrata was quite good--just the right creaminess.

Another 1st course option was Poelee de Seiches Au Chorizo--€6 supplement for this cuttlefish with chorizo combo. This was quite good and worth the supplement.

One of the options for the 2nd course was Pave de Merlu Sauvage--wild hake.

Porcelet Sauce Vin Rouge--piglet with red wine sauce. This was very tender.

The dessert course was Panache de Desserts. This was 4 small desserts--strawberries, panna cotta, sorbet, meringue and warm chocolate cake. All were good.
