Hotel Mercure Bordeaux Centre Gare St. Jean

Our hotel in Bordeaux was the Hotel Mercure Gare St. Jean. We got off the bus 1 stop before the train station and walked 5 minutes to the hotel. I love Google Maps Offline--it makes it so easy to navigate a new town. If I had it when we went to Oslo, I would've gotten to see "The Scream"--sore subject and enough said.

The hotel is so convenient. It's a 7-minute walk to the train station, 20 minute walk to the Miroir d'eau or a 2 minute walk to the Tram system if you don't want to walk.

The hotel has pictures of Audrey Hepburn everywhere. Not sure what the connection was.

Very large room and comfortable beds.

The showers were modern and had good water pressure.

Our room overlooked the courtyard.
