Best Western Plus Briston, Otopeni

Our flight arrived in Bucharest at 2:25 am. By the time, we finished getting the rental car, it was 4:30 am. I was happy I had reserved a hotel near the airport so we could sleep for a few hours before starting our road trip.

The Best Western Plus Briston was located 5 minutes south of OTP. It was easy to find just off the main road. They had free parking onsite.

The Reception desk was open 24 hours, an important consideration in making the reservation.

The room was large, clean and quiet. We were able to sleep for 7 hours before checking out at noon.

In Romania, they quote prices in euros then convert to RON. The exchange rate is visibly listed. Fortunately, I had prepaid the hotel so we didn't need to deal with the currency conversion but I don't think you would lose out on the exchange. The rate seemed to be consistent with the current bank rate for the day.
