Be careful with the transport you choose to get into Bucharest. There were posted signs in the Baggage Carousel with options and warnings.
We decided Bus 783 was probably the safest option and it was an easy 40-minute ride into town. Purchase an Activ card for 1.60 lei ($0.37. A ride to town is 7 lei ($1.64) per person and they can load both tickets on the same Activ card. Tap the card on the reader on the bus. Push "Plus" and tap it again for the 2nd passenger.
Alternatively, ou can take a taxi to the center of town for 50 lei ($11.68).
K+K Hotel Elisabeta is located at Strada Slanic 26. It was a short 4 minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel. Use your Google Map Offline.
There is a small bar in the lobby of the hotel.
We got an executive king room with a small sitting area. There was free wifi and free breakfast. There was a refrigerator and a safe in the room.
Free breakfast included eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, pastries and fruit. Not the best breakfast but good enough.
