Grand Canyon Caverns

After Hackberry, drive through Crozier, Truxton & Peach Springs before reaching the Grand Canyon Caverns after 40 minutes. There's not much left of the towns en route.

The Cavern Inn is at the entrance to the road leading to the caverns.

Nearby is the Dino Mini Golf Park with, what else, but dinosaurs.

Next to the mini golf park is Radi8or Springz.

There are old cars, including Herbie, the Love Bug.

Old cars and fire trucks are parked outside the Cavern Inn.

Corvette police cars are also parked in front.

A land line in a phone booth. We didn't try the phone to see if it worked.

Continue down the road and you'll find the Grand Canyon Caverns. Out front is a display of a "dope on a rope." Before the elevators to the caverns were built, patrons were lowered into the cavern on a rope for 25 cents.

Another dinosaur greets visitors to the caverns.

There is a restaurant onsite.

The Grand Canyon Caverns are limestone caves discovered in 1927. They are located 200-300 feet below the surface.

You'll also find a petrified log out front.

Old rusted bicycles grace the entrance.

Watch for the police car with a dummy policeman.
