Mendocino is an adorable town on the California coast, just 3 hours north of San Francisco. It is reminiscent of a New England town and in fact was the setting for "Murder, She Wrote." The town has less than 1,000 residents but there are a lot of shops, restaurants and inns. It's a perfect place to spend a weekend.

Chocolate Covered Caramel with Sea Salt--$1.20 at Mendocino Chocolates. Loved the sweet caramel with the dark chocolate and salt.
