Fisherman's Cove, Bodega Bay

It was a hot Fourth of July so we spent the day at Bodega Bay. First stop--lunch at Fisherman's Cove. It's located at 1850 Bay Flat Road.

They're known for their grilled oysters. We ordered a dozen for $24--6 garlic butter and 6 chorizo butter.

While the oysters were grilling, we had a pint of clam chowder. This was delicious. It was full of flavor and had a good amount of clams. The only thing that was a little different were the carrots in it. They were diced small so it didn't distract from the flavor of the clam chowder.

Grilled with Garlic Butter and Wasabi Cocktail Sauce. The garlic butter was delicious. I liked the wasabi cocktail sauce but my husband thought the sauce was too sweet. Even though these were good, I still like the smoke flavored oysters from GW Fins in New Orleans better.

Grilled with Chorizo Butter. I didn't like these as much as the garlic butter ones. It's just the oils from chorizo and no actual chorizo pieces.
