Red Hot Wok

Red Hot Wok is a Taiwanese restaurant in Cupertino. It's located at 10074 E. Estates Drive.

The specials are in Chinese. You're out of luck if you don't read Chinese.

Chinese Herb Lamb Soup--$7.95 for small (serves 2-3) and $9.95 for large (serves 3-4). This was way too strong but my parents loved it.

Whole Squid with Ginger Sauce--$9.95. This was too soupy. I like the squid when it's dry roasted.

Stir Fried Pork and Squid with Celery & Bean Curd--$11.95. This was good except the squid was too chewy.

Three Cups Tofu--$8.95. This was my favorite dish. The 3 cups referred to sesame oil, rice wine and soy sauce.

House Special Ground Pork Rice Bowl--$6.75. The pork was not ground. Instead, it was diced, which doesn't absorb the soy sauce as well and doesn't give off enough fat to the soy sauce.

Seafood Fried Noodle--$9.95. Again, the squid was too chewy.

Egg with Basil--$7.95. Meh, nothing special about a basil omelette.

Mango Snow Ice--$5.45 for small. I was expecting ribbons of shaved snow. Instead, I got flakes of snow--too powdery. The mango sauce was good though.
