Cool River Cafe

We took the 2:30 pm shuttle from the Hilton to DFW. After checking in and clearing security, we had a late lunch at Cool River Cafe.

Cool River Cafe, located near D25. What drew us here was the display of the turtle cheesecake.

Crab Cakes--$17.55. Crisp Texas blue crab cakes with Absolut Pepper vodka cocktail sauce and remoulade. The crab cakes had a lot of crab but they weren't big chunks; rather they were shreds of crab. The sauce was good and it wasn't overpowering.

 

Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin Salad--$20.85. Field greens with pepper Jack & Cheddar cheese, tomato, crispy onions and seared black pepper beef tenderloin. This was a full steak on a salad and the steak was tender.

The real reason we ate here. Turtle cheesecake--$9.84. It was a thick slab of creamy deliciousness!
