Ride to Camaguey

It was Sunday, March 12. Back in the USA, it was time to change the clocks and spring ahead. In Cuba, they also had a time change. Who would've thought that a Caribbean island would follow daylight savings? And, why would Cuba follow the US schedule?

The ride to Camaguey took 5 1/2 hours and cost $15.

The back side of the bus station in Trinidad. Not sure if it was because of the time change, but it wasn't crowded and there were many empty seats on the bus.

Leaving Trinidad

Our bus driver stopped to buy some garlic and onion.

We stopped in Ciego de Avila to pick up and drop off passengers

then made a stop at a rest area.

Interesting decorations at the Parador Oasis where we stopped.

After our break, the driver stopped at another place to pick up more goods. You cannot be in a hurry in Cuba, especially if you have a driver with many errands to run.
