Walking Around Prati

Our last full day in Rome started sunny. We decided to explore the Prati neighborhood on our way to lunch at Pizzarium.

The cars in Italy are small but I wonder how this car will get out.

Near Castel Sant'Angelo, just behind the Palace of Justice, you'll find Piazza Cavour.

It's a nice green space with benches to sit and people watch.

The Palace of Justice is huge.

In the center of the Piazza is a statue of Camillo Benso, count of Cavour, a statesman deeply involved in the unification of Rome.

We stopped by the Caffe Prati to have our morning coffee.

Cappuccino here was €1.20, 3 cookies were €1.20 and a Nutella croissant was €3.50. The croissant was dry.

Just like the Quartiere Coppede, the Prati neighborhood has interesting architecture. This is where the upper class live.

This sculpture is in front of the RAI, Italian Radiotelevision (Italy's national public broadcasting company).

Piazza Mazzini is a circular park in Prati.

The walkway is paved with river rocks in mosaic patterns.

Columns with the symbol of the fascist regime.
