Cafe Du Monde

The last ritual we have when we arrive in New Orleans is have beignets. Our favorite is at Café Beignet. It was unseasonably cold and I was freezing so I couldn't eat at the outdoor Musical Legends Park. Instead, we opted to have beignets at Café Du Monde in the covered restaurant.

You can't miss this establishment. It's located at 800 Decatur Street and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, closing only for Christmas and the occasional hurricane. It's been in operation since 1862.

Beignets and hot chocolate.

An order comes with 3 beignets and they are coated with powder sugar. Cost is $2.42. Don't wear dark clothing.
