Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar

The first thing we do when we arrive in New Orleans is have a dozen oysters. There was a line at Acme so we went to Felix's right across the street.

 

Felix's is located at 739 Iberville St.

 

Strawberry Abita is available in the spring. It's the only beer I will drink although this year's batch didn't have as much strawberry flavor as in years past.

 

 

A dozen oysters cost $13.45. Apparently the BP oil spill in 2010 sharply affected the amount of oysters harvested and the price rose significantly.

 

A dozen chargrilled oysters--$19.45. These are good and garlicky.
