The Westin Canal Place is conveniently located at the edge of the French Quarter and within walking distance of the Convention Center. It's situated above a shopping mall that includes Sak's Fifth Avenue. It's got a great location but it's a worn hotel and could use new carpets and new furniture in the lobby.
Rooftop pool. The view is fantastic but there is astroturf surrounding the pool. I expected more from a Westin.
If you can get a riverview room, it's nice to see the action on the river.
With a riverview room, you can also see the French Quarter.
The rooms are large but the carpet is worn and there is no refrigerator.
The most disappointing thing are the plastic cups in the bathroom. Really??? At a Westin? For $250 per night, I definitely expect more.
