My husband had lunch at La Mediterranee the next day. Even though he had Greek the night before, he wanted to sit outside and this was one of the few restaurants on the street that had an outdoor eating area.
La Mediterranee is located at 2936 College Ave.
The lunch special attracts the budget-conscious Cal students just up the street because the portions are fairly large for the average $9 to $10 cost. One of the lunch specials was the Lamb Kebab Served Over Rice Pilaf for $10.25. You had a choice of green salad, Armenian potato salad or cup of soup and there was a side of hummus. He thought the lamb was a bit tough, but the texture and taste of the hummus was good and the salad was fresh and crisp. He also had a home-made lemonade for $2.50, refreshing and not too sweet.
