The French Market Restaurant is located at 1001 Decatur Street at the eastern end of the French Quarter.
It was crawfish season and the going rate was $7 for 1 lb or $13 for 2 lbs.
These were huge crawfish with claws that actually had meat in them. It wasn't just eat the tail, suck the head and move on to the next one. We actually spent time digging through the claws. It took two of us 1 1/2 hours to go through the 2 lbs of crawfish.
