Fig Cafe

We love Fig Cafe in Glen Ellen. It's located at 13690 Arnold Drive. It's a great little casual restaurant with great food at a reasonable price, a nightly $25 3-course prix fixe menu and best of all--free corkage!

We shared an appetizer of Steamed Mussels with Garlic, Leeks, Tarragon & Grilled Bread--$13. This was a large portion and could serve as an entree. The sauce was delicious, especially with the tarragon flavor and the bread had a nice smoky flavor. Delicious!

Romaine, Radicchio, Pickled Fennel, Cucumber, Apple & Sherry Vinaigrette--Part of the nightly 3-course Prix Fixe Menu.

The entree on the Prix Fixe menu was Pork Loin, Smashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Carrots, Zucchini with Apricot-Bacon Marmalade Mustard Sauce. The sauce was very tasty but the pork was overcooked.

Grilled Lamb, Chickpeas, Cucumber, Arugula, Cherry Tomatoes, Salsa Verde & Feta--$21. The lamb was cooked perfectly rare and the salsa verde had a minty kick. Loved it.

Creme Caramel with Candied Walnuts--part of the Prix Fixe. To tell you the truth, by the time we got to dessert and had shared a bottle of Mazzocco Zinfandel, I really couldn't remember much about the dessert. It was creamy and smooth though.
