Dynasty

It's been years since I've been to Dynasty in the Vallco Mall in Cupertino. It's a huge restaurant and it opens at 10 am on the weekends. We arrived at 11 am and there was no wait. By noon, there was a wait.

Scallop dumplings, shrimp rice roll and turnip cakes--these were okay. Not bad but nothing special.

Har gow (shrimp dumplings)--these had plump shrimp with a nice skin that wasn't overcooked. Spicy tripe--these were good.

Jelly fish & seaweed--once again just okay.

Jook--it was too mushy. Great to eat if you have no teeth but I prefer my jook to have a little more body. The noodle rolls were spicy.

This was the best dish. The sweet rice dough was nice and the filling was flavorful.

Tofu & shrimp. Again, just okay.

Overall, I thought the dim sums were fine but nothing too special. All this cost $46 so at least it wasn't too expensive.
