Noshing in Colmar

During our walk through Colmar, there were Alsatian specialties to try.

Maison Alsacienne de Biscuiterie--they were handing out samples of these hot-out-of-the-oven coconut macarons at their outpost in Petite Venise. My husband loved these. They were soft and moist and had interesting flavors, such as pistachio. They're sold by weight--€6.50 for 200 g (around $7 for less than 1/2 lb).

Nearby was Chez Thierry, who had samples of sausages and cheese.

Pretzels with cheese. These were cold and would have been better if they were warmed prior to serving. €1.10 for plain cheese.
