SAS :(

Just returned from a 2-week trip to Alsace and Burgundy, spending one week barging on the Big Saone. We flew on SAS from SFO to Copenhagen then connected on Swiss Air to Zurich.

While I raved about Turkish Air on our trip to Greece, I can't say the same for SAS. Our outbound flight was an old plane that had been retrofitted with individual screens at each seat. Unfortunately, none of the screens in our section worked--no entertainment for the entire flight. There wasn't much leg room and definitely no foot rest. The worst part was that we were given a 500 ml bottle of water and were allowed to have 1 more non-alcoholic beverage for the entire 10 1/2 hour flight. Otherwise, you had to pay for additional drinks. Oh, I forgot to mention that you had to order all your drinks at the beginning of the flight--who knows how much they'll drink at the beginning of a flight?

Like Turkish Air, there was a chef on board but unlike Turkish Air, there was no china and no silverware. I don't even know what that pink & white dessert was.

At the Copenhagen airport, there was a replica of the Little Mermaid.
