Norwegian Folk Museum

The Norwegian Folk Museum is located in Bygdoy. We took Bus 30 from the city center. The bus ride was covered by the Oslo Pass and it took 30 minutes to get to the museum. Admission is NOK 125 but free with the Oslo Pass.

The museum is an open air museum with traditional houses from all parts of Norway and a stave church.

This stave church from Goi was built in 1200 and relocated here in 1884.

The museum also depicts life in Norway from 1500 to today, including this circa 1950 gas station. There was an apartment building with 8 apartments representing different times in Norway.

We spent about 2 hours in the museum.
