Radhus

Radhus is the city hall in Oslo. It's free and open from 9 am-4 pm every day of the year. Free tours are offered on Wednesdays. June through August, the hours are extended and free tours are offered every day at 10 am, noon and 2 pm.

Statues of tradesmen line the front of the building.

The Nobel Peace Prize is presented in this hall on Dec 10 every year. Albert Nobel, inventor of dynamite, bequeathed his fortunes to the Nobel Prizes. Only the Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo. The rest (Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Literature and Economics) are awarded in Stockholm on the same day.

City Council chamber, located on the 2nd floor of the Radhus.
