Plaza Bistro

Thursday night's dinner was at Plaza Bistro, located at 420 1st Street East in Sonoma. They had a $39 dinner.

One of the choices for the first course was Iceberg Wedge, Beef Tomatoes, Red Onions, Honey Cured Bacon, Point Reyes Blue Cheese and Buttermilk-garlic Dressing

The other option was Spanish Calamari Stuffed with Spanish Chorizo, Tomato Sauce and Baby Arugula. I liked this better than the salad. The baby calamari was tender and the chorizo stuffing was delicious.

One of the options for the entree was Rack of Lamb--Moroccan glazed rack of lamb with Kalamata olive and garlic sauce, roasted vegetable and potato rose. The lamb was well cooked.

Another entree option was Crispy Duck Confit--over mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach and dry fruit chutney. This was amazing. The duck was so tender and well crisped. The spinach was also delicious--not sure what they added to it.

Dessert was Croissant Bread Pudding with golden raisins, pecans and bourbon caramel sauce. Delicious, especially the caramel sauce.
