Salt & Stone

Tuesday night's dinner was at Salt & Stone, located at 9900 Sonoma Highway in Kenwood. Their 3-course dinner was $39.

One of the options for the first course was French Onion Soup. This was so good. The gruyere cheese on the crostini was delicious.

Another first course option was the Salt & Stone Caesar--Grilled Hearts of Romaine, Cotija Cheese, Bocarones, Mustard Vinaigrette and Crostini.

One of the entree choices was Crispy Skin Salmon, Buttermilk-Mustard Spätzle, Roasted Sweet Potato, Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Beurre Blanc, Mustard Seed Caviar. The salmon was very well cooked and the skin was perfectly crispy.

Another entree option was Braised Lamb Shank, Mascarpone Polenta, Seasonal Vegetables, Red Wine Jus, Horseradish Crème Fraîche. This wasn't quite fall-off-the-bone but it was tender enough.

The last entree choice was Local Free-Range Chicken, Garlic Potato Puree, Vegetables, Caramelized Cippolini Onion Broth

Tres Leche Cake with Pistachio Caramel. This was so moist.

The other dessert option was Chocolate Mousse.
