Rooftop at Harmon Guest House

Sunday's dinner was at Rooftop at Harmon Guest House in Healdsburg. It's an outdoor space so it can get cold once the sun sets. The Restaurant Week menu was $39.

They have a daily Happy Hour from 3-6 pm. The HH menu looked good and included $1.50 oysters. We'll have to go back for HH.


One of the options for the 1st course was "canapés"--warm dungeness crab cake, chilled prawn cocktail, Hood Canal oyster with mignonette and chèvre croquette. The crab cake was delicious--all crab with very little binder, the prawn was huge and the oyster was briny. The croquette was creamy. 


Steak Frites, Truffle Fries and Red Wine Jus. The steak was very chewy and the fries were too salty.


Flounder Fish & Chips with Racer 5 Tempura, Remoulade. The flounder was a huge portion but unfortunately, it was greasy.


Dessert was Flourless Chocolate Gateau, Strauss Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Fruit. The gateau was thick, rich and very chocolatey.
