Little India

After our breakfast, we walked around Little India.

We came upon an open market and found sugar cane for sale.

There were also lotus blossoms for sale.

Brightly colored Tan House, located on Kerbau Road, is the last surviving Chinese villa in Little India.  Tan was a Chinese businessman who owned several sweet-making factories.

Abdul Gafoor Mosque is a fusion of Arab and Victorian architecture. Above the entrance is a sundial with 25 rays, each ray with the 25 names of the prophets. You should have your knees and shoulders covered but if you aren't dressed properly, there are free gowns for you to borrow at the entrance. The interior isn't impressive.

Kampong Kapor Methodist Church is also located in Little India.

Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple is dedicated to the goddess Kali, who is shown wearing a garland of skulls.

Nearby, we found this park with colorfully-decorated elephants. So adorable!

Mustafa Mall is an indoor shopping complex that is open 24 hours. They sell everything imaginable.
