New Year's Eve at Ledford House

Ledford House, located at 3000 North Highway 1 in Albion, had a special New Year's Eve dinner that included a 5-course dinner and dancing for $85.

I had a Kir Royal to start--$12.

I always love their homemade bread and their olives.

First course was Black Eye Pea Cake with Roast Pepper Creme Fraiche. This was just okay.

An option for the second course was Brie en Croute with Roast Garlic, Honey & Thyme.

Another option was Crab Martini with Avocado Mousse & Tobiko Caviar. I liked the crab better than the brie but still it was okay.

Third course was Celery Root Remoulade. Tasty but not special enough for New Year's Eve.

An option for the fourth course was Grilled Rosemary Rack of Lamb with Mushroom Ragout. It was prepared rare, just the way I like it.

Dessert was four different small tastes--chocolate pot de creme, lemon cake, truffle and meringue filled with berries and cream.
